Harriet Parsons, Training & Development Manager with Bodywhys said “When a person develops an eating disorder it affects the whole family – family life becomes stressful, relationships change and anxiety becomes the norm. Families need support to cope with this.”

Harriet Parsons, Training & Development Manager with Bodywhys said “Four years ago, Bodywhys launched a free 4 week evening programme for family members and carers. To date, 340 people have received support through our PiLaR programme which has been provided across the country.”
Bodywhys: The Eating Disorders Association of Ireland can report a 10% increase in use of the organisation’s support services in 2016. This includes: A 33% increase in email support requests.
