Ireland’s first National Mental Health Experience survey is now underway, asking people about their time in inpatient care. The research aims to improve mental health services across Ireland by gathering the views and insights of people with lived experience.
Mental Health Reform is encouraging anyone who may be eligible, to take part and help build a stronger national picture of mental health services in Ireland, what worked, what did not and what they believe needs to change. ‘One voice can tell a story. Thousands of voices can change a system.’
If you are discharged from a mental health hospital or unit between April and July 2026, you may be eligible to take part. Eligible participants will receive an invitation letter in the post a few months after discharge. Find out more information at www.yourexperience.ie
