If you have experience in this area, you are being invited to take part in a research study which will explore your unique opinion and expertise on the treatment of males with eating disorders.

Research Study: An Exploration of Psychotherapists’ Experiences in the Treatment of Men with Eating Disorders

Why participate in this study?
Eating disorders in men are still under diagnosed, undertreated, and misunderstood and there remains paucity in the clinical guidelines and treatment approach most effective for men with eating disorders. Through your engagement with this study, you will be providing a greater understanding of the issues specific to males with eating disorders and providing a valuable insight into the therapeutic approach that is most effective with these clients. This study aims to further define best clinical practice for men with eating disorders.

Who can participate?
Accredited psychotherapists with two or more years’ experience working with male clients with eating disorders.

What will be involved?
You will be invited to take part in a one-to-one interview with the researcher that will last approximately one hour at a time of your convenience. Due to government restrictions, interviews will be conducted online via the researchers secure Zoom account.
