PiLaR Programme

Research suggests that parents and carers of people affected by eating disorders may experience high psychological distress and be at risk for depression and anxiety. They may also experience an overwhelming burden of guilt, self-blame and worry.

Bodywhys has developed a free 4 week programme for parents, carers and family members. Based on the idea of ‘Peer-Led Resilience’, the PiLaR programme addresses:

  • Understanding your child's eating disorder
  • Managing anger
  • Managing expectations and understanding recovery
  • Moving forward and self-care
